Reid Bates

Helping a few high-growth teams unlock clarity through clean tech, smart funnels, and tight feedback loops.

What I Do Best

  • Unclog martech bottlenecks

  • Engineer attribution clarity end-to-end

  • Automate everything but trust

  • Translate chaos into clean, scalable systems

  • Use AI where it earns its keep — not just for the hype

Selected Wins

Performance architecture for $50M+ campaigns
Converted fragmented ad ops into a single source of truth using data warehouses + custom dashboards.

Zero-to-scaled lead automation
Built and deployed full-stack automations for inbound qualification, scoring, routing, and CRM integration. >50K leads/month with no human overhead.

Quiet AI operator
Embedded lightweight AI into sales funnels and customer touchpoints—booking appointments, answering support queries, and managing Facebook comment threads for moderation and buyer intent. Less headcount, more conversations, higher close rates.

CMTO since before it was a title
20 years with the same company, quietly running the tech + growth engine behind the curtain. From a team of 3 to consistent $50–100M in annual revenue—with no outside capital and barely a sales team.

Offline meets online
Founded and scaled a multi-location yoga and Pilates company near home—built as a testing ground for cutting-edge systems in the real world. It’s now a thriving, tech-enabled community business: highly profitable, operationally lean, and deeply satisfying to run.

Operating Principles

  • Less tools, more clarity

  • Outcomes over dashboards

  • Everything should either scale, convert, or disappear

  • Work should feel inevitable, not reactive

  • AI should be invisible, useful, and profitable

Off the Clock

I’m an avid cyclist, a private pilot, a scuba diver and a regular on the yoga mat.In the air, underwater, or halfway up a hill, I’ve found that the best ideas rarely happen at a desk. Cycling clears the mind, flying sharpens it, and yoga slows it all down.I move to think—and in the quiet that follows, I’ve found the satisfaction of doing hard things well.

I don’t take on new clients. I do take on high-leverage problems — if you’ve got one, I’ll know when I see it.
